Retail 2025 Shopper Study: The Future of Retail is Already Here


Based on this principle, we have identified key trends that will increase in importance starting right now and becoming mainstream in 2025. Just as importantly, we have identified what they mean to retailers today.

For this yearís report, our ninth annual shopper study, we worked closely with Mitch Uyeda and the EnsembleIQ Research Solutions team to design a survey and poll 5,000 consumers. Our aim was to tap into the same shopper profile as last year, but convert
the perspective from being a backward glance into a forward view.

We donít have personal jet packs yet or flying cars, but retail isnít waiting for the next big thing. The future, according to writer William Gibson, is already here, itís just not evenly distributed.
