In a typical assembly plant, industry experience shows that there can be anywhere from 15-50 problem cases issued daily. Extrapolating those numbers globally results in potentially over 3.2 million problem cases per year for the automotive industry. Currently, each case must be responded to in the manufacturer specified format. A supplier invests a significant amount of time and energy in the administrative tasks of answering problem cases. This time could be better spent in preventive quality planning to avoid the problems in the future. |
