Service providers need to continuously expand their offerings to address competitive demands. They must enable blending and personalization of services to enhance the end-user experience. Delivering such services requires the sharing of common information and of operations capabilities. This document explains the choices and challenges that service providers face in developing these features and presents how Alcatel-Lucent's Service Delivery Environment (SDE) - an architecture for consolidated, consistent and efficient service delivery that can bridge across multiple SDPs - helps to overcome them.
