TheBANK of Edwardsville talked to four iSeries high availability software vendors and of the group, they were most impressed with Echo² High Availability from iTera. It was built from the ground up using remote journaling, whereas many of the other vendors had their products on the market before IBM introduced this technology. Replicating data to a mirrored DB2 database takes much more time with conventional journaling, sometimes up to a day.
