ABSTRACT:
In this paper Greg Schulz and Jon Toor talks about the industry trends and perspective about the Top Ten I/O Strategies for Green and Virtual data center.
Virtual I/O dynamically deploys connectivity to any server. Data center agility becomes real, because connections, both fiber channel and Ethernet can be managed in a real time and from any location. Deploying Virtual mix and Virtual HBAs in servers, which is what Virtual I/O is all about, indeed provides a far more flexible management model than traditional I/O and results in great cost savings in terms of cable reduction and overall efficiency.
