By delivering messaging services from the "cloud," so to speak, there is better control over messaging, especially between business partners within and outside of the enterprise. There is also the potential for better reliability and scalability than is usually possible with an internally administered messaging system.

Messaging as a service brings convenience and scalability benefits to the business, as well as laying the groundwork for a broader and more effective use of messaging services within and between organizations. This paper describes how intelligent and reliable messaging services can make opportunities for business through asynchronous communications between both individuals and business processes.
