Personal portable security devices (PPSD) are a new category of USB tokens that provide strong authentication and portable data security, leveraging a familiar form factor – the USB thumb drive. Their ability to encrypt and store sensitive information and perform one-time password and certificate-based authentication with the smart card's cryptographic processor offers IT organizations a multi-purpose tool for secure network access and data loss prevention.
