Consumers expect a seamless, high-quality experience in today’s mature app economy. They want brands to keep up with new technologies like geo-fencing and personalization, as well as the latest ecosystems like voice assistants and connected cars. With this high bar for quality, QA organizations often struggle to keep up with: 1. Rapid Release Schedules 2. Personalization 3. New Technologies (Voice, AI) 4. Geo-Awareness and Localization 5. Device Fragmentation 6. Unexpected Customer Use Cases The cost of failure is high in QA. Time, money, and customer loyalty are all at risk when digital experiences don’t meet users’ high expectations.

With air quality and climate change dominating headlines and public opinion, the UK is charging ahead into a future of electric motoring. EVs and the installation of charging infrastructure are both new and growing industries, with the popularity of electric cars and vans growing at an incredible pace in the UK. At the end of March 2010, there were only 98 vehicles eligible for the Plug-in Car Grant licensed in the UK. By the end of March 2018 this had reached 132,789. While many organisations want to install EV charge points, some find it challenging to build a business case and worry about the unknowns when it comes to installation and maintenance. It’s time to change that. Download this whitepaper today to find out more.

The 21st century marks the rise of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning capabilities for mass consumption. A staggering surge of machine learning has been applied for myriad of uses — from self-driving cars to curing cancer. AI and machine learning have only recently entered the world of cybersecurity, but it’s occurring just in time. According to Gartner Research, the total market for all security will surpass $100B in 2019. Companies are looking to spend on innovation to secure against cyberthreats. As a result, more tech startups today tout AI to secure funding; and more established vendors now claim to embed machine learning in their products. Yet, the hype around AI and machine learning — what they are and how they work — has created confusion in the marketplace. How do you make sense of the claims? Can you test for yourself to know the truth? Cylance leads the cybersecurity world of AI. The company spearheaded an innovation revolution by replacing legacy antivirus software with predictive, preventative solutions and services that protect the endpoint — and the organization. Cylance stops zero-day threats and the most sophisticated known and unknown attacks. Read more in this analytical white paper.

Organizations operating in the retail financial services sector – banks and insurers – need to work smart and fast to keep pace with the increasing demands of their customers. We may have a 24/7 love affair with our smartphones but it is clear that in the future we will be sharing information and making payments via fitbands, cars, TVs and white goods, as the Internet of Things fuses the physical and digital worlds. For incumbent banks and insurers, the challenge will be to leverage the possibilities of this new hyper-connected world to embed themselves in their customers’ daily lives. They need to change the way operate, which includes how they market, engage and communicate with their customer base. This will be a key defense against the growing ranks of digital newcomers seeking to disrupt and dislodge incumbents through an array of innovative and smart new offers. However, too many are moving too slowly, either from an excess of caution or complacency. This report should serve as a

Today, everything computes. Intelligence has been infused into things no one would recognize as computers: appliances, cars, roadways, clothes, even rivers and cornfields. Tomorrow, many of these things will think, thanks to breakthroughs in cognitive computing. Even the things that don’t think themselves will continue collecting and reporting the massive quantities of data that feed cognitive systems.

As with sports cars, performance is a top buying criteria for firewalls. Because if you can’t keep up with the traffic—real traffic, not traffic in the labs—your apps will be unhappy, and your users even more so.

In today’s application economy, everyone is in the software business. Auto makers are putting Wi-Fi hotspots in their cars. Watches are trading gears for motherboards. Even soda fountains have evolved from dumb machines into instrumented devices with touch-screen user interfaces. This digital transformation is changing the way applications are developed, tested, moved through environments and released into production—and it’s putting new demands on IT teams with which they’re struggling to keep up. At a high level, this is because the application delivery systems and processes at many enterprises were put in place when IT only had to push out an annual or semi-annual release. But as market pressures and executive mandates have forced teams to deliver innovations faster and more frequently, a new set of development, testing, automation and customer challenges have appeared—acting as obstacles that stand between you and your digital transformation goals.

The hallmark of the digital age is change – constant, rapid, and often disruptive. The computer itself has changed from mainframe to minicomputers, personal desktops to laptops, handheld devices to mobile computers. We now have tiny embedded computers in cars, in washing machines and even in cats and dogs. How we live our lives has changed. Virtually every activity humans engage in, is impacted by computers and that’s constantly changing too. No surprise then, that K-12 education was also impacted by the constant transformation of computers. The perimeter continues to dissolve, and the definition of endpoint is evolving, according to results of the SANS 2016 Endpoint Security Survey, now in its third year. As we might expect, 90% or more consider desktops, servers, routers, firewalls and printers to be endpoints that need to be protected. After that, respondents include other less-typical devices in their definition of endpoints that warrant protection: 71% include building security (access/ surveillance), 59% include employee-owned mobile devices and 40% consider industrial control systems as endpoints that need to be protected. Some respondents also consider POS devices, smart cars, emulated endpoints in the cloud and wearables as endpoints needing protection, highlighting the diversity of thinking among respondents.
